What are the main differences between postmodernism and contemporary art?

With contemporary art not merely meaning 'of the time' or 'now' but meaning a specific art movement from around 1990 that is still continuing today.

Looking for critical dividing lines on the timetable of modern art is difficult because the objects and subjects are so diverse. For me, the best new category is "Bad Art." There are so many modern artistic ideals reflected in it; laziness, commercialism, shock-value.
